Help? NOT!

#emech is NOT a help channel for the EnergyMech bot.

#emech is mainly a hangout for enthusiasts and developers. The channel we refer to on these pages is ofcourse located on undernet, no other lame excuse for an IRC network ;) ... altho, undernet is pretty darn lame itself.

Newbie scores:
  • Reporting an unknown bug and giving plenty of info on it: minus 100 points.
  • Asking a technically interesting and undocumented question: 0-5 points.
  • Asking "can I ask a question?": 50 points.
  • Asking a documented question: 50-100 points.
  • Asking a newbie question: 50-100 points.
  • Asking for help to install, setup, or similar: 90-100 points.
  • Messaging proton: 90-100 points.
  • Messaging proton asking for help: 99-100 points.

You start out at zero and once you reach 100 points, you get a free /kickban.

And dont forget, you can easily pick up bonus scores by asking at the wrong time!!

Stupidity

As we have a pretty low tolerance for lamers in our channel, I (proton) decided that making fun of the absolutely worst ones might discourage some of them and make for some extra fun for the rest of us.

  • swoop2 -- The true story of swoop2s attempts to start an EnergyMech.
  • Moron -- The helper who didnt know the HELP command.

If you're looking for more logs, quotes, comments and other amusing things said on IRC, head on over to the IRC Quote page.
